Providing Real Value

Growing a personal brand and online platform has been challenging for me in many ways. Building a brand takes a lot of time and effort, but it also takes a level of deeper reflection than you would probably imagine.

I’ve had to ask myself the questions of who I wish to be, how I want the world to see that image, and how I plan on showcasing the individual I am. On top of those questions, I asked myself the most important question of all: How can I provide the most value to the people who will be reading/watching my content?

I thought I had it figured out, but through more reflection I’ve changed my mind.

Being A Creator

As a creator your goal is to provide value to the lives of others. You want to help people deal with their struggles, provide them with certain tools they need to succeed, and support them on their journey.

There are so many ways to equip your audience. You can inform through posts, you can get super narrow on different topics, and you can break down issues until you’re red in the face. All of those may be smooth for others, but for me it’s not the way I want to do things.

I don’t want to be the person who tells someone how to change their life; I want to be the person who makes someone change their life as a result of the way I live mine.

I want people to know I’m in the trenches with them, not standing over them sprinkling down the answers to a better life.

To put it simply, I want to provide value by the way I live my life.

The Real Person of Influence

I’ve come to realize that the people I admire don’t help me solve problems by giving me a guided plan – they help me solve problems by showcasing the way they choose to live their life. They showcase the day to day activity that makes them who they are!

The people who gave me the tools to win at life didn’t write out an exact framework, they showcased exactly how they showed up in their OWN life.

They did not change my life through words, they changed my life through action. They changed my life by showing up for themselves and being vulnerable in their struggles.

They didn’t try to influence me.

They were simply showing me that it was possible.

And thats how they influenced me.

Myself As A Creator

I want to be the creator who equips people through the way he lives his life. I want to be a constant reminder or checkpoint that people refer to when life’s struggles are kicking in.

I want people to know that I am still moving forward and choosing my path, and as long as I am doing that then they can do the same. They can choose to do it at any point in their life.

I want to build a space where people use my life as an example as to the way they will create their own. They can embody my characteristics and feel confident that it will bring them the most fulfilling aspects of life.

I want to be like the creators who changed my life. The ones who showcased the good, bad, and the ugly, so others can visualize how it plays out.

I simply want to be an example of how a particular life can be lived in a positive and admirable manner.

Never Stop Hustling

9 Weeks Out

It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog, but I need to get somewhere outside of my mind and my journal as I close out these final weeks of bear crawl training. My journal holds my daily thoughts, but since I’ll look back on this time quite frequently, I want something more tangible that […]
